Pocket Horoscope

v0.3.3 · Self-hosted · MIT

Astrology from the real sky, on your own server.

Pocket Horoscope works out where the Sun, Moon and planets really are, then builds birth charts for you and the people you care about, a daily horoscope from today’s planets against your own chart, compatibility between any two people and the Moon calendar. A daily check-in shows whether the Moon really changes your days.

Your day

Journal

Does the Moon change your days?

A daily check-in keeps your mood, energy and a note with that day’s sky. Insights then compare your mood with the Moon’s phase, element and sign, and say plainly what they find.

  • Look at three months, a year or everything
  • With Pocket Health, your sleep and resting heart rate too

And the rest of it

  • The sky and what is coming

Where everything is right now, the Moon calendar with phases, signs, void-of-course hours and eclipses, the year’s retrogrades, and your transits for the weeks ahead with their exact days.

  • Written readings

With Pocket AI or your own OpenAI key: your day, a whole chart, a match, the year ahead or any question. Keep them, delete them or save them to Pocket Notes.

  • Morning horoscope and Moon alerts

Through Apprise, ntfy or a webhook: your morning horoscope, new and full Moons, eclipses, planets turning retrograde or direct, and birthdays.

  • Bring your people

Import birthdays from Pocket Contacts, an AAF file from most astrology programs, or a CSV. Place search finds a birth place’s coordinates and time zone.

  • Everyone their own

Each person has their own people, journal, readings and settings. Admins see no one else’s.

Install

One container, one volume.

Pocket Horoscope is a single Go binary with a SQLite file. Open it, create the first account and add yourself. Place search uses Open-Meteo’s free geocoder; set GEOCODER_URL=off to type coordinates by hand. With Pocket Core, people sign in once and birthdays, notes and health data arrive with nothing to paste.

On a Pocket Box it is already installed and signed in through Pocket Core.
